About Course

Simple tips to help you prepare your home for winter & reduce escalating heating bills
£7.50
Duration 53 mins

We know that going into winter can be daunting. The cold, wet weather can cause damage to our homes and heating bills are escalating.

We’ve put together a short, online course packed full of useful, simple tips to help get you through winter whilst managing bills and winter wear & tear more efficiently.

The course covers:
  •  How to improve the insulation in your home: doors, windows, walls, pipes, cylinders etc.
  • How to maximise your thermostat, heating & radiator efficiency
  • The importance of clearing gutters & drains and how to do this safely and effectively.
  • How to repair and prepare your external windows & woodwork for the colder, wetter months
  • How to isolate/turn off your water in the event of a burst pipe.

Testimonials or Past Attendee Experiences

I found the whole course really helpful but especially the sections on how to repair a windowsill and secondary glazing. The presentation was ideal for me as I'm looking at it from a beginners perspective and to see the practical aspects being done in 'real' time made it all appear more 'doable'.
Looking forward to attending a couple of face to face sessions soon.
